Established in 2003, Moreton Bay Boys’ College (MBBC) is a contemporary, independent, Prep to Year 12 boys’ college. We are a young and dynamic school, embracing innovation and change, offering an exciting learning environment for your son to thrive. Location

Located in the thriving eastern suburbs of Brisbane, our College is located in the leafy bayside suburb of Manly West, just 15 kilometres from the Brisbane CBD and from Brisbane Airport. MBBC is set within 13 hectares of bushland with a 5.5-hectare nature sanctuary behind the classrooms.

Primary School - Prep to Year 6

The International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (PYP) focuses on the development of the whole child as an inquirer, both in the classroom and in the world outside. It seeks to develop the whole person - a students’ academic, social and emotional wellbeing - by engaging children in issues of local and global significance. Boys are encouraged to be inquirers, knowledgeable, thinkers, communicators, principled, open-minded, caring, courageous, balanced and reflective.

Middle School – Years 7 to 10

 Students are challenged and supported to develop deep levels of thinking and apply this to the world around them, connecting their learning beyond the classroom into the community. Our vertical House system and Five to Thrive Wellbeing Programme also support these aims. Senior School - Years 11 and 12

In the Senior School we offer the QCAA curriculum, with approximately 20 subjects to select from. Boys graduate with at least one of the following qualifications: QCE (Queensland Certificate of Education), ATAR (Australian Tertiary Admissions Rank) or VET (Vocational Education and Training) qualification. The majority of our students continue on to further study.

The senior curriculum includes core subjects and elective subjects based on boys’ individual interests and needs, with a breadth of options to explore.

Accommodation

Moreton Bay Boys’ College arranges a suitable, caring homestay family who will assist you with settling into life in Australia. This placement will be organised through the College’s Homestay Services. Students have their own bedroom with study facilities, have all meals supplied, washing and ironing facilities and access to transport to and from school and co-curricular activities. All homestay families are Blue Card checked and a 24 hour hotline is available.
