Sangeeta MahajanBA (Hons); MA; M.Phil.; MBA; Grad Dip HRM &IR; Cert TESOL; Cert IV TAA, FAIM CEO, Australian International Education Consortium (Global) Sangeeta Mahajan, the CEO of Australian International Education Consortium P/L and Australian College of Technology and Business P/L has been working within the education and training industry in Australia and overseas for approximately 26 years. Sangeeta commenced her professional career overseas as a university lecturer and has worked in teaching positions at the University of Queensland and Griffith University in Australia. From 1998 to 2004, Sangeeta worked for Education Queensland International, leading and managing the key international student programs’ portfolio for Queensland government schools. During this time she also project managed the setting up of the first two NEAS accredited ELICOS centres for Queensland government and provided multiple workshops on international education to over 30 government schools in Queensland. Sangeeta represented Education Queensland on the Schools’ International Government Group (SIGG) in 2003-04. In 2004 Sangeeta was appointed as the CEO of Nudgee International College, one of Australia’s leading international education providers specialising in school-sector programs. Since 2004, within five years, Nudgee International College achieved over 60% growth in enrolments resulting in a significant turnaround for the college. In the same period the College also won multiple Queensland government awards for internationalisation, student services and pastoral care. In 2009, Sangeeta set up her own independent registered training organisation specialising in delivering courses in business and management to domestic and international students. Since 2009, she has also been working as an independent consultant providing management services and ASQA/CRICOS/NEAS registration related support to other ELICOS colleges, schools and vocational colleges. In 2011, Sangeeta made a decision to set up Australian International Education Consortium (Global), with the view of utilising her expertise in international education and her vast network of contacts developed over 26 years to provide a unique blend of marketing and enrolment services to education providers in Australia. Sangeeta was an invited member of the Queensland Government QETI Schools Working Party from 2004 to 2010 and the QETI ELICOS Working Party from 2008-2010. In 2010, she was appointed to the Queensland Education and Training Advisory Committee through Queensland Cabinet endorsement. In 2011, she was invited by the Queensland Minister for Trade on the advisory panel set up to form the Queensland International Education Industry Council. Sangeeta has delivered presentations on international education and training at the NEAS, AEI and other conferences and forums.
